Parent and Caregiver Support
The Place offers parents and caregivers of children with autism support and training so they may feel more at ease and prepared to take part in their child’s development. Given that each child has different goals, parent training meetings are individualized per the needs of the child and the needs of the family.

Parent and Caregiver Training
Parent and caregiver training is a great time to collaborate on not just the clinical recommendation of the BCBA, but what goals the parent would like to work on to improve the family’s overall quality of life. Parent education is a requirement in our program to ensure that the skills we teach a child in the clinic will be consistent in a home environment. In addition to individual parent training, we also have expert guest speakers providing group training sessions for parents and caregivers.
We require all families to engage in parent training meetings at a minimum of once a month. During these meetings we will discuss your child’s progress, address any concerns you may have, and focus on teaching you the basic ABA principles to ensure you have a good understanding of how to support your child during their development process.
