About Our Champaign-Urbana Location

The Place for Children with Autism in Champaign, IL provides comprehensive support to children in their developmental journey. Our approach is based on the belief that a combination of one-on-one therapy and group activities can help children achieve their developmental milestones. We use evidence-based applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy, which is administered with great care and empathy. Our team of professional therapists works closely with each family to create personalized treatment plans which address the unique needs of every child in our program. We are committed to ensuring that our clients achieve positive outcomes and reach their full potential.

The Place for Children with Autism in Champaign-Urbana offers individualized ABA autism therapy for children in an environment similar to a preschool or daycare. This newly renovated center features 7 classrooms, an indoor sensory gym, and separate activities area. Each room features a variety of toys, sensory items, engagement activities, and dedicated space for each kiddo and therapist to work through their customized schedule and goals.

Located just outside the university campus, our Champaign-Urbana autism center is an easy commute from Mahomet, Savoy, and other surrounding towns within Champaign County.

The Place’s award-winning and accredited program provides individualized applied behavior analysis (ABA) services to children.

We Provide Center-Based Therapy

Our model is unique in that our ABA therapy is provided in a full-day (8am-4:30pm) and half-day school-like setting. Children engage in activities that mimic a traditional school day, such as circle time, music, arts and crafts, group snacks, and lunch—all designed to foster socialization.

We Specialize in Early Intervention

The Place is dedicated to promoting growth during those early years. Each child has a dedicated and qualified 1:1 therapist who will specialize in helping children meet critical milestones in communication, social, and behavioral domains.
