The Place for Children with Autism offers ABA therapy for children ages 2-6 in a preschool like setting. The goal is to increase communication skills, social skills, independent living skills (e.g., toilet training, etc.), and reduce challenging behaviors that interfere with learning. In addition, The Place for Children with Autism works on the vital prerequisite skills to ensure children are successful when they transition to school with the overarching goal being eventual mainstreaming into general education classrooms. Each center employs trained Registered Behavior Technicians (i.e., 1:1 therapists) and Board Certified Behavior Analysts. The Place for Children with Autism services underserved communities in the Chicagoland area and throughout Illinois.
