Insurance Coverage for Autism Therapy
The Place for Children with Autism accepts most major health insurance plans. If you are currently uninsured, our Family Support Services can connect you with resources to help you select a marketplace plan that covers ABA therapy. Even if you are insured, we work to identify grants and financial assistance opportunities to cover out-of-pocket expenses for every family who enters into our program.
Does The Place for Children with Autism Accept Medicaid for ABA Therapy?
Although many ABA providers in Illinois, including The Place for Children with Autism, do not accept Medicaid, our mission is to make ABA therapy accessible to families who would benefit from our services, including those on Medicaid. During the open enrollment period which runs from Nov 1st to Jan 15th each year, our staff connects families with resources to find plans on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace which will cover our services. Additionally, our grants department will seek out financial assistance opportunities to cover the cost of these insurance plans. To learn more, please contact us or register to attend our next Autism & Medicaid Workshop.* While The Place and many other ABA therapy providers do not currently accept Medicaid, our mission is to help families with Medicaid access affordable ABA services in a timely manner. Given the difficulties in finding ABA providers who accept Medicaid, we help connect families with resources to obtain a private insurance plan that covers ABA therapy and identify grant opportunities to cover some of the costs.
