Speech Therapy

The Place offers speech therapy services for children with autism through The Place for Speech Therapy. Our Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) travel to select centers to provide direct speech therapy services. Our SLPs have specific training in evaluating and developing a variety of different skills, including but not limited to:
  • Feeding
  • Swallowing
  • Articulation
  • Phonological Processes
  • Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)
  • Augmentative and Alternative
  • Communication (AAC)
  • Play
  • Pragmatics
  • Expressive Language
  • Receptive Language

Interested in ABA therapy for your child?

Our therapists incorporate play-based, drill-based, and child-led services within therapy sessions depending on the child’s specific needs. SLPs also collaborate with each of the BCBAs on a weekly basis to discuss the child’s progress, goals, and strategies for generalization of skills across all environments.
