There are many positive common ABA treatment outcomes that can be reached which can improve the lives of children with autism and their families. Although there currently is no cure for autism, research indicates that children with autism can make exceptional gains in a variety of skill domains as a result of ABA therapy.

In a recent study, children who received extensive ABA therapy and began treatment early saw treatment outcomes which included significant improvements in all assessed domains. The study showed that the duration and intensity of ABA treatment for children with autism spectrum disorder had a significant effect on outcomes. Participants showed improvements in academic, adaptive, cognitive, executive function, language, motor, play, and social skills and behaviors.
