Come to this virtual & free event to gain a better understanding of autism

The Place for Children with Autism will be presenting this workshop (sponsored by TAP; The Autism Program) which is geared towards parents who have a child with autism or providers who work with children with autism. This workshop will discuss what is autism and what are the characteristics? Following, strategies will be discussed related to:

  • Increasing communication
  • Increasing social skills
  • Decreasing challenging behaviors

All of the strategies discussed will promote positive behavior changes and positive relationships between the parent and child.

About the speaker:

Dr. Carly Lapin, Ph.D., BCBA-D is the director of outreach at The Place for Children with Autism. She has conducted research in the field of autism related to increase rapport between staff-children in ABA therapy settings and research on toilet training. The Place for children with autism provides full day (8am-4:30pm) ABA therapy in a pre-school like setting for children ages 2-6 years old.
