Group Activities

Group activities are essential to helping children with autism develop social and communication skills. At The Place for Children with Autism, we model a traditional preschool experience so that children can focus on group activities, allowing them to develop social and communication skills with their peers. Activities such as circle time, free play, structured play, dance, music and art programs, group lunch and snack time all allow for group social interaction.

Group Activity

Our BCBAs lead and oversee all group activity while ensuring that one-on-one attention is always available as needed, per your child’s customized treatment plan. The goal of group activities, however, is to eventually fade out reliance on one-one-one support and encourage children to socialize in group settings independently.

Interested in ABA therapy for your child?

Our group activities focus on developing joint attention, self-regulation, social language skills, and classroom and group behavior. Group socialization skills are assessed at baseline and throughout the program to ensure our children are improving group behavior skills and reaching traditional milestones of their same-aged peers.
