Job Description:

The Case Manager role is a supporting role to the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The primary function of the role is to assist the BCBA in all tasks related to supervision of a client. The Case Manager role is responsible for enhancing the quality of patient management, maximizing satisfaction and promoting cost effectiveness, and will be accountable for the full patient care cycle. Case manager duties include assessing, planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating actions required to meet the client’s health and human services needed.

Location(s) Hiring: Waukegan (Full-Time)

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and conduct team meetings, and parent training meetings
  • Assist BCBA with programming, insurance paperwork, initial and ongoing client assessments
  • Assist in initial and ongoing authorizations (i.e. – assessments, required insurance forms)
  • Conduct RBT mentor meetings
  • Fill-in for therapy on an as needed basis
  • Assist with conducting therapist interviews
  • Coordinate and provide care that is safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and client-centered
  • Handle case assignments, draft service plans, review case progress and determine case closure
  • Facilitate multiple care aspects (case coordination, information sharing, etc.)
  • Help clients make informed decisions by acting as their advocate regarding their clinical status and treatment options
  • Develop effective working relations and cooperate with team throughout the entire case management process
  • Record cases information, complete accurately all necessary forms and produce statistical reports

Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Complete initial therapist onboarding at The Place for Children with Autism and have successfully completed their 90-day probationary period
  • RBT certified
  • BCBA student receiving supervision from The Place for Children with Autism
  • Excellent knowledge of case management principles, healthcare management and reimbursement
  •  Effective communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Familiarity with professional and technical emerging knowledge
  • Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task
  • Compassionate with teamwork skills
  • BS or BA degree in related healthcare or education field
